Chief Adam Carroll

Welcome to the Hartland Deerfield Fire Authority web site. We have a long history of providing fire protection to the citizens of Hartland and Deerfield Townships. I am proud of our 82+ year history of providing efficient and trusted public service to our community. Having invested the last 20 years, from Firefighter and through the ranks to Chief, I have seen many changes to this exceptional department. The 48 sworn personnel that comprise the Hartland Area Fire Department are extremely dedicated and skilled men and women. We are confident that we will provide outstanding fire, rescue, and medical first responder services to each of our customers.

By way of an approximate profile of our area and department, we cover approximately 75 square miles with a population of about 19,500, including 12 miles of interstate freeway and state roadway, to which we provide fire prevention, emergency response, administration, and support services, averaging 750 fire, rescue, and medical emergency responses annually. We respond to these emergencies every day with the expertise and skill you would expect from the people you call on when needed the most.

It is with great respect and a sense of privilege that I am allowed to lead this fine group of well-trained, professional individuals into the next generation of providing fire protection, education and community service to our customers; the citizens of the Hartland Deerfield Fire Authority.

Thank you and God bless you.

 Fire Chief Adam L. Carroll

P.S.: As we continue to develop our website, we encourage any suggestions in any format that may help answer questions about your Fire Department.
